Steve Hackett & Steve Rothery – The Roaring Waves (2026): Η συνάντηση δύο κιθαριστικών σχολών

Οι θρύλοι της progressive rock σκηνής, Steve Hackett (πρώην κιθαρίστας των Genesis) και Steve Rothery (κιθαρίστας των Marillion), έχουν ενώσει τις δυνάμεις τους σε ένα πολυαναμενόμενο κοινό, instrumental  άλμπουμ με τίτλο «The Roaring Waves». Ο τίτλος του δίσκου είναι εμπνευσμένος από τα παιδικά χρόνια του Rothery στο παραθαλάσσιο Whitby της Βόρειας Αγγλίας, όπου άκουγε το κύματα να βρυχώνται κατά τη διάρκεια καταιγίδων.Η κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ έχει προγραμματιστεί για τις 28 Αυγούστου 2026 από τη δισκογραφική εταιρεία InsideOutMusic

•  Το άλμπουμ αποτελείται από επτά instrumental κομμάτια με κεντρικό άξονα το μεγαλείο και τη δύναμη της θάλασσας. 
• Η Έμπνευση:Ο τίτλος προέρχεται από τις παιδικές αναμνήσεις του Rothery στο Whitby της Βόρειας Αγγλίας, μια περιοχή με άγρια ομορφιά, όπου ο ήχος των κυμάτων κατά τη διάρκεια των χειμερινών καταιγίδων τον επηρέασε βαθιά.
• Η Διαδικασία: Αν και η ιδέα για μια συνεργασία υπήρχε εδώ και πάνω από μία δεκαετία, χρειάστηκαν σχεδόν οκτώ χρόνια για να ολοκληρωθεί λόγω των περιοδειών τους. Οι ηχογραφήσεις έγιναν στο Racket Club (το στούντιο των Marillion) και στα προσωπικά τους στούντιο, με τον μηχανικό ήχου και πληκτρά Riccardo Romano να συμμετέχει στη διαδικασία. 
• Η Φιλοσοφία: Ο Hackett περιέγραψε τη δημιουργική διαδικασία ως «παλιάς σχολής», σαν μια παρέα φίλων που μαζεύεται στο γκαράζ για να παίξει μουσική, χωρίς κανέναν ανταγωνισμό.

• 26 Ιουνίου 2026: Ξεκινούν οι προπαραγγελίες του δίσκου και αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει το πρώτο single, δίνοντας στους θαυμαστές μια πρώτη ολοκληρωμένη γεύση της συνεργασίας τους.
• 28 Αυγούστου 2026: Η επίσημη παγκόσμια κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ.

 Σαν σήμερα 12 Μαρτίου 1984 κυκολφόρησε το "Fugazi" από τους Marillion

Αυτό είναι το δεύτερο στούντιο άλμπουμ του neo-progressive rock συγκροτήματος Marillion. Η παραγωγή έγινε από τον Nick Tauber και κυκλοφόρησε το 1984 από την  EMI. Το συγκρότημα άλλαξε διαδοχικά αρκετούς ντράμερ μετά την αποχώρηση του Mick Pointer προτού φέρει τον Ian Mosley.

Το 1998 κυκλοφόρησε μια ανανεωμένη έκδοση 2 CD με επιπλέον B-sides και demos.

Misplaced Childhood’’ είναι ο τίτλος του τρίτου studio δίσκου των Marillion. Κυκλοφόρησε το καλοκαίρι του 1985 και είναι ο πιο επιτυχημένος για το συγκρότημα μέχρι σήμερα, αφού έφθασε στο No.1 στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και Νο. 47 στις Η.Π.Α. Τα μέλη των Marillion επέμειναν στην απόφασή τους για concept album παρά τις αντιρρήσεις από την δισκογραφική τους εταιρεία. Τελικώς, κυκλοφόρησαν δύο μικρούς δίσκους (singles), αμφότεροι οι πιο επιτυχημένοι στη μουσική διαδρομή τους: Η μπαλάντα ‘’Lavender’’ και το ‘’Kayleigh’’ .

Οι βρετανικοί proggers Marillion έχουν ηχογραφήσει μια ολοκαίνουργια έκδοση του Easter. Το τραγούδι, εμπνευσμένο από το ποίημα του WB Yeats, το Easter 1916, είναι αγαπημένο των θαυμαστών και εμφανίστηκε στο άλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος (1989), Season's End , το πρώτο με τον τραγουδιστή Steve Hogarth, και κυκλοφόρησε ως single το 1990, φτάνοντας στο No. 34.

Η νέα έκδοση φορτώθηκε στο YouTube από το συγκρότημα, που περιλαμβάνει τον Hogarth, τον κιθαρίστα Steve Rothery, τον μπασίστα Pete Trewavas, τον πληκτρά Mark Kelly και τον drummer Ian Mosley.
